Our Story
Crossway Bible began with a simple observation: reading Scripture carefully usually means juggling several separate tools — a concordance to trace a Hebrew or Greek word, a commentary for context, a cross-reference guide to see how one passage echoes another, a dictionary for an unfamiliar name or place.
We wanted to bring all of that into one place: a modern, carefully built reader for 66 books and 1,189 chapters across 8 public-domain translations, where looking up a word's original meaning, seeing how a verse connects to the rest of Scripture, and exploring the people, places, and themes running through the Bible all happen without leaving the page.
This is a growing project. New tools and deeper resources are added regularly, all built around the same conviction: Scripture rewards careful, patient attention, and good tools make that attention easier to give.
